Joining Business Associations!

Joining Business Associations.. can be a great opportunity to network with other business owners in your area..

Don't overlook these opportunities!.. check with your local Rotary club for example.. as well as other small business clubs..

Memebership in these business associations will be made up of all different types of local business and professions, but will make great contacts for you and your business..

If you are a woman, it would be worth checking out any local "Women in Business" groups that usually meet once a month for a lunch or just to network, its great to get out and meet other people, who like you, are trying to make it out there on their own, no matter what type of business!.

You may meet your accountant, or your new lawyer or a great photographer at these clubs and meetings... the most important thing to do when you go to these meetings, is to network, bring plenty of business cards and your crafts diary, show them what you are about, where you are.. and get the word out!.. This is NETWORKING.. talk about your business.. but also make sure to be a great listener about their business!.. No one likes a loud mouth.. so keep it down a notch, don't get to excited pushing your business!.. Listen to others about their business.. and take in all the potential skills of these other businesses as you may need them for yours!
