Using a Digital Camera for your crafts business

Digital Camera is a good investment for your business.

If you make crafts that are more dimensional.. ones that can not be scanned, then you will need to get yourself a camera. Digital camera is the way to go now for instant photos on your computer.. They usually come with a program for your computer, and once you have taken your picture, you can plug into the computer and see it right away..

You could also print them, and then scan them... there are lots of different ways, but you still need the decent camera to begin with!

Once you have taken your pictures, then you need to look at them and decide if they are pleasing to the eye, do you need to crop them?.. remember don't have too much background, your customers do not need to see the back of your couch or kitchen with the picture!!.. Try to have a plain background when you take your pictures, or the picture gets "too busy".. also remember, that some online sites have a restriction on the size of your picture.. find out what that is, then you can adjust your photo on your computer.

A scanner is a great way to go, if its something flat, like a small painting, pattern, or anything that will fit on your scanner bed. You do not have to be a professional photographer, but if you have the right lighting, not too busy a background and you can crop or adjust your pictures to look their best.. then you have won half the battle.. I have found, with internet sales, you can describe your craft perfectly, but everyone tends to look at the pictures FIRST..

If you do not have a good camera or scanner, why not check out Ritz Camera?.. click on their banner above, and you can check out all their products.

Remember to keep track of your photos on your computer, name them and organize them, so they are not too hard to find, when you want to get a craft online right away..
