Watch the Cash at Craft Shows!

Make SURE and watch your money at craft shows!

Please don't flash your cash!... If you are lucky enough to be making lots of money at your craft shows, then you have to come up with a system to deal with that cash.

Make sure you have someone you trust come and take some away for deposit, or if this is not possible, then make sure to wear a FANNY PACK.. I know they are not the most fashionable items, but they work!.. You have the money on you, you can usually get change without flashing it around.. aprons are bad for that, I have seen many people using aprons, and when they bend down .. money falls out, or its just to open a pocket and your cash can be seen!

The problem with a money/cash box, is that you are not stuck to it like glue, and any time while serving a customer, or during one of those sudden rushes you can get at a show, your money/cash box can go walking!.. Its terrible to think that there are people out there like that.. but there ARE!.. I have heard all kinds of horror stories, about money boxes going missing..

If you must use a money/cash box, then make sure you set you booth up in such a way, that a person would have to wiggle into a tight spot past you to get at it!.. Or make sure there are 2 of you doing the show.. I have even been known to leave my booth, as I was on my own, get the next booth to just watch out for my crafts, while I quickly went to the washroom, but ARMED WITH MY CASH BOX!.. It may look funny in the bathroom, but, this is YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!.. and its not fair to put that kind of pressure on other fellow crafters at craft shows.

Take care of your cash!
