Cell Phone for Craft Shows!... very handy..

Whether you love or hate having a cell phone, they have become a necessary addition to our lifestyle, and also a convenience at craft shows that can't be beat!

When I am at a craft show, I accept Visa, M/C and AMEX and I have to do a sale manually (you remember the slide back and forth contraptions?).. I then have to phone in the sale to get an approval number to complete the sale and to make sure the credit card can be accepted.... most craft shows do not give you the option of even a pay phone, so this is what I use.. Plus its a handy way to call my craft partner to come back and take over while I take a lunch or bathroom break!

A great tip!!... a great way to hang onto your cell phone, is to wear a eye glasses case around your neck, the newer cell phones fit perfectly into a soft fabric eyeglass or sunglass case that you can wear around your neck.. (another great idea for a craft!).. this way you do not put it down somewhere to get lost or stolen.. and its not mixed in with your fanny pack or money pouch where it will get scratched up. Remember now a days, these cell phones are not very big, and at a busy craft show, it could so easily get lost... so take one along for phoning in approvals, or for dragging your partner back, who has gone off yakking to other vendors!.. (also make sure its charged up!)..be prepared!
