Really cheap packaging... for the frugal business!
For some really cheap packaging, here is something my girlfriend did when she was trying to ship some products and just couldn't afford to purchase boxes right away.
She got some heavy duty boxes from the grocery store, the corrigated kind (they are a bit thicker) and then she took some latex paint she had in her basement (beige) and a small roller and she flattened the box, and then painted it!.. I would have thought the cardboard would ripple, but it didn't, and it covered the logo on the box and looked good. Now how is that for being frugal?
Personally what I do, when I am using a box from the grocery store, is get a roll of brown paper and wrap the box in brown paper. Brown paper in a roll in not to expensive, and if your boxes are not huge, it can be a cheaper way to package your product and not look to cheap!
You should cover boxes with logos on them anyways, even if its a paper on each side glued to it, the post office does not like it when logos are showing especially if they had UPC codes on the boxes as well. It is easier for your package if the only thing the postal service sees is your label for the address and your return address and any custom work, it gets to "busy" when you are competing with big cereal or fruit or whatever logos are on the sides of your box!
Find a way to cover the logos, its better for your business, and yet you are still recycling..!
