Craft Shows in Cottage Country

Craft Shows in Cottage Country, is a really nice working holiday!

If you know of a great cottage or camping area, that LOTS of people from out of town come to stay or visit at during the summer months, then this is a great place to do a craft show!

The best way to do this, is to either rent a cottage if you can, or camp, or borrow a friends cottage, or share one with family members. You will find that most craft shows in cottage country are also during the week, so you can do at least a couple during the week, or a one show that is all week long.. or if you are really energetic, you could try for the whole summer!

In this situation, because you are most likely staying in the same cottage for the duration you are there, you could set up shop, so as to keep making more crafts, but experience has it, that you are usually exhausted by the end of the day, and really just want to bar-b-que or jump in the water!.. so try to have enough product made.

With it being during the summer, there are usually a lot of tourists in the area, and craft shows are quite a common tourist attraction.. I mean your cottage could be out in the boonies, but you need PEOPLE and TOURISTS to make your money, so make sure its not too far from where you are staying..

Make sure to book it well in advance, as these can be hard to get into later in the season, usually they are booking in January of that year or sometimes even before Christmas, you can usually book for the next year right at the end of the show you are in!.. this gives you a year to get more product together! get yourself a craft show book, from your local arts and crafts council, and see if you can find a craft show in cottage country!
