Partner up... for Cottage Country!

Maybe this is not your year to go to cottage country... but a good friend is going and she/he is going to try and sell their arts and crafts while they are there!

Why not make a deal with them.. I have done this before, offer to split the cost of the shows with them, as long as they show some of your arts and crafts in with theirs!

This works out well if your friend or "craft partner" is doing something different from your crafts.. so as not to feel there is competition!.. Or you could offer to pay for the entire show, so that she is compensated for her/his time.. but this way you get to be exposed to the cottage country market.

This can be lucritive during the seasonal months as the population in these areas swell, and more and more people are finding something to do with their time, such as shopping and checking out the local stores and craft shows..

It might be worth the extra costs, to see your crafts sell. Of course, this would have to be a trusted partner or friend, someone you know who will have your best interests at heart.. if you pay them well, then it is sure to be a good show for you too!
