Craft Inventory and your Craft Buddy!

You must keep track of your craft inventory, especially when doing crafts with a craft buddy!

Its good to keep track, use a craft inventory sheet, this way you know what is selling and what is not, maybe make a mental note on what you will no longer make etc...

When you are organizing and pricing your product for a craft show, its best to come up with some kind of code that can be written on the price tag or sticker.. My craft buddy and I, would both come up with a "craft inventory sheet".. how many of each and their price etc... so that when a customer was making a purchase, we would take the price tag off the item (I prefer the tags with string on them rather than a sticker if possible, if you must use a sticker, use those low stick ones that do not leave a residue!).. we would have a pile for each crafters tags.. and when their was a quiet moment, we would check off the sold items based on the code we put on the price tag..

That way you are not trying to do it in front of a customer, who has shopping on his/her mind!.. especially if they buy a few things and want to pay for it as one bill..

Put as much information as you can think of on your price tag.. of course the price should be the most visible number on the tag, but you could put your initials and a code on the back or small underneath..

This really helps when it gets busy and everyone is moving quickly.. you know just to take off the tag, put it in the right spot (little baskets for each of you and your buddy) and add up the purchase for the customer, and move on!.. hopefully there are LOTS OF CUSTOMERS!..

Good luck to everyone with their crafts business!
