Start your own Mail Order Crafts Catalog!!

Starting your own mail order crafts catalog.. is a great way to generate income and get known!

This is also one of the most costly ways, you will need to be able to fund this project upfront, and take the risk.. as you need this catalog to look professional!

You get to this point when you have created enough crafts or products to take great pictures of, that you can reproduce quickly but with quality and for a reasonable price!

The most expensive part of this project is getting great pictures, this is not the time to hire your Great Uncle or cousin who takes pretty good pics for a hobby, you need to hire a serious photographer that has done "product shoots" before.. do some research, and find a professional photographer you can work with. He/she will set you products up in pleasing ways, maybe with a model showing how your product or craft can be used, they need to be creative, rather than just sticking your crafts or product on a table a take a picture.. this is a catalog and you need to make your arts and crafts look their best!

Example, if you knit great sweaters, than you will need a model to show them off, then offer different sizes in the description, if you make great quilts, then have them displayed over the back of a couch, with a book and glasses near by, showing the warmth and comfort of your quilts.. a great photographer will know how to stage your products the best.

You will then need to work with a printer.. the photographer may know a great printer.. best to get referrals this way!.. Also you need to write great descriptions.. if you do not feel confident doing so, you will need to hire a writer..

This is all worth it in the end to have a great catalog!
