Watch your craft show Behavior!!

Watch your craft show behavior... smile!

You may think this is a silly subject, you may think you were raised with manners.. how could this be an issue??

You would be amazed at what I have seen at craft shows, both as a vendor and as a customer!

DO NOT SIT THERE READING A NOVEL!

This shows a complete lack of interest in your product and your surroundings!.. You may think that by doing this, you won't be intimidating the customers into buying something... but I have asked a vendor a question about a product, on a busy day, and she said to me..."just a minute I am almost done this paragraph!".. how is that for craft show behaviour??.. I just walked away.. you are there to promote your arts and crafts, you spend the time on setup.. at least most do.. and you should be either working on another piece that potential customers can see, or talking to potential customers.. you do not need to bully them, but you do need to look interested!

If you can, and you have a craft partner, take turns getting lunch, do not clear a spot on your craft table to plop this big pile of food, like a greasy burger and fries on a paper plate and try to talk to people with your mouth full!... (I see this a lot!).. go somewhere else to eat if you can, this is where it is so important for a relief person.. I don't like to talk to a vendor about there product with food all over their face!

This may sound harsh, but it turned me off... and I could hear people making comments in the aisle..craft show behavior... so keep this in mind ... plus you need to be relaxed when eating .. or you will look like you have a knot in your face, and scare off potential customers later with your indigestion!

Craft show behaviour is so important....

You have to entice your potential customers, show them how great you are, and what you can do... this is your moment to shine!.. You have worked all year on these arts and crafts.. let it show!

Craft Show Behavior... BEHAVE!...Just my thoughts for the day!
