Creating a Crafts marketing plan... can help keep you on track

with you crafts business goals..

A crafts marketing plan or business plan.. does not need to be complicated.. just a few questions to ask yourself, and this is how you find out what your goals are, and how long you are allowing your crafts business to grow..

WHAT DO I WANT TO DO?

WHERE WILL I FIND INFORMATION?

WHO WILL I CONTACT FOR INFORMATION?

HOW MUCH TIME AND MONEY CAN I SPEND?

WHERE WILL I FIND THE MONEY TO FINANCE THIS BUSINESS?

These are just example questions to ask yourself about your business.. will I find information in craft magazines?.. at craft shows?.. suppliers?.. who do I contact for craft shows?.. fairs?... will I spend 3 hours a week on my business on 10 hours a day?..

Write these questions out on paper, and try to answer them the best you can. No business plan is set in stone, but it doesn't hurt to have an idea of where you are heading right from the start. Especially the part about, how much time I can spend on my new business, and how much money I can invest in supplies.

Also figure out, the area of your home that can be dedicated to your craf business. There is nothing worse than taking over the entire house and stressing the family and yourself with all your crafting supplies and accounting receipts.

Think ahead of time, in your craft marketing plan, work out where in the house you can work, and what materials you will need to get setup.
