Try Faux Painting .... for your arts and crafts business!

If painting is your talent... have you thought about trying faux painting?.. as your arts and crafts business?..

I have found this great book, on starting a faux/mural painting or mural business.. and it takes in everything you need to know..

Faux painting, is a great way to cover up imperfect walls, or walls that have just had wallpaper removed... there are so many products out in the paint world now, that you can even buy paint that has sand in it for a slightly rough textured wall, which is wonderful for slightly pitted drywall.. saves replacing it..

If you are really detailed, then painting murals might be more your style... I painted a teddy bear scene on a friend's baby's room, and it turned out nice, it was a small room and this mural made it feel bigger.. just make sure you come armed with painting clothes, ground cover and painters tape to seal off the wall or frame in your mural.. and lots of brushes!.. read this book, and you will get some awesome ideas!..

I am always on the look out for new ideas in the craft business, and I find books one of the best ways to get the information I need... you should see my craft library!
