Garden Stakes!... a great standby for your craft sales

Garden stakes... these are a great standby for your craft sales!..

Go to your local hardware store and usually you can find 1 x 2 inch wooden stakes with a point on the end about 4 or 5 feet tall.. if not, then you will have to be handy or get someone who is to cut a point on the end of your stakes.. I have usually found your local hardware or lumber store to sell these... then get some cedar shakes, or thin wood, like 1/2 x 4 inches... and screw or nail to your stake at your desired height..

Dont, forget to allow for the fact about a foot will be hammered into the ground, so don't put your sign to low.. have it just below the top of the stake.. and then paint a scene, or stencil letters or a welcome sign, or label rows of vegetable for the vegetable garden!.. There are TONS of ideas for garden stakes!.. You should also coat them with outside varathane, although some people like to decorate them, so that they will age with the weather, which looks cool too!

To display them at your craft show or open house or garden party!... stand them up in a old milk container, or umbrella stand.. something along those lines, this adds to the display!.. I painted up a really nice old metal milk container, and I had someone buy it off of me, then I was stuck with trying to display my garden stakes!.. I found a big piece of foam, and jammed them in it!..
