Teach a Home Craft Class..

Teach a home craft class... they are fun!

If you have a passion for crafts, and don't want to teach at a craft supply store, or just don't feel comfortable doing that yet.. then why not try a home craft class?

The first one would be great to do with friends and family.. Come up with a simple craft that is quick and fun.. take a picture of it that you can print on a flyer. Pass this flyer to your friends and family..

Make sure you have an area in your house that is big enough for a home craft class.. or put a limit of seats on the signup sheet, so that you do not end up with a street block party!

Maybe make your first class a limit of 8.. that is manageable for your first attempt. Purchase the supplies and everything that is needed to make this craft, print out instructions that they can have, as well as watch you...

Make sure to supply refreshments and goodies, for a break or at the end of your class.. This is the perfect time to start showing off your other arts and crafts!

Have some on display, and make sure to have your craft diary there as well craft diary Your diary is that great album you have started that contains pictures of your arts and crafts and your custom work..

Let everyone look, and also have a list of any upcoming shows you are having, whether at craft shows, fairs, markets or at home.. let them know where you will be!..

Make sure to work out a decent fee for your class, and show the student the break down, of supply costs and your fee.. if you do get 8 people, and the craft is simple you could charge as little as $5.00 for your teaching fee per person, and end up with $40.00 for the class.. that is not too bad!.. or charge more depending on how complicated the craft is, and how long the class with take. HAVE FUN!
