How to Organize your studio!.. so you have room to create!

Organize your studio...! Now that you have picked a day to "clean out your studio".. you need to pick a day, hopefully the same day to "organize your studio"!

It can be done at the same time you have your ruthless clean out.. get yourself 3 boxes or make 3 piles on the floor.. in the first pile will be the definite "get rid of".. the 2nd pile will be the "donate or gifts.. but not quite sure yet".. and the 3rd pile will be the "keep for sure"..

At first you will be whipping thru it all and be pleased with yourself, then all of a sudden you will hit a road block!.. you will fret over whether to get rid of something or not.. after all what happens if you could use it 2 years from now??

My rule of thumb, is that, if it did not sell all last year, and part of this year, and you can't re-create it into something else.. then donate it, or get rid of it now... 18 months is long enough for a big tub of crafts... the same goes with supplies.. bits of fabric, string, dried up paints... get rid of them all!..

Unruly studios can cause stress.. you will feel so much better for having this clean out, and you should do it at least once a year.. and then make a promise to yourself, that you will not go nuts in this years spring garage sales!... roll up those sleeves and get dirty!
