Painted Patio Stones... for your garden crafts

Painted Patio Stones... are a great idea!

The only thing, is that they can get heavy at shows!... but they can be stunning!

The best ones I have painted, were the round stepping stone type. They can take any kind of paint as they are porous, but there is actually patio paint, that has a shimmer to it, and can have a nice effect. I painted patio stones that gave a stunning effect. I painted them black, then I painted some koi fish on them in the bright oranges and reds and whites... then I coated them with 3 coats of outside satin varathane (so as not to be too shiny), in this case you may be better using the spray varathane, so as to get in all the nooks and crannies... then place them in your lawn, and recess them so that your lawnmower and can run right over top without injury!

I have taken some of these to craft shows, and they sell, usually people will ask you to hold on to them until they are finished shopping!.. but they will often order some!.. and these are not expensive to buy from your local garden center.. they are also nice around a backyard pond.. try and put them somewhere where they will be seen but not tons of foot traffic, so they last longer!
