Painted rocks for your garden!

Painted rocks are a great craft that fills in the gaps in a flower garden!

Find some nice shaped rocks, and then give them a good bath, and I mean a good scrub!.. Let them dry in the sun, they need to be good and dry.. then prime them.. this will make the paint stick better!

Paint whatever you like, animals, paw prints, dragonflies are a good standby, insects of all kinds!... look thru some craft books and get some ideas!.. Paint the entire rock with your background colour, then your creation, then make sure to seal it with outside varathane.. If you have used whites and yellows in your project, then you MUST use outside WATER based varathane, as it does not yellow or discolour your project!.. Keep your rock inside for a couple of days, until its fully cured, then put it in your garden somewhere between your flowers in your flower bed.. these are great fillers while your flowers are getting bigger and fuller..
