A good feeling ... when you recycle crafts.. to a good home!
Recycle crafts.... a good feeling!.. Today is a beautiful day, and I loaded up my poor old escort with all the piles of craft supplies and older crafts that I had finally decided to part with, so that I could avoid CHAOS in my studio space! I want to keep it all, all the bits and pieces of wood and fabrics and supplies, that have been floating around for a few years, but today I went to our local dump.. it has a "re-use" building where you drop off anything reusable, so that gave me hope that it would not be crushed in the dump somewhere!
As soon as I opened by doors and trunk and I had some people circling!.. at first I was nervous, then I realized that they wanted to see what I was dropping off... its Saturday, and everyone else had the same idea!.. spring cleaning!.. we all called it, of course mine was different, they all brought broken dishes, books, cups, household items, ... I brought painted trays, wool, fabric ends, boxes of old wooden signs.. and more.. I have never had this much help unloading before!.. and guess what??.. none of it made it to the building! I felt good for this, now my "recycle crafts" have made it to a new home!
It felt good to have a good clean out, but it felt even better to know they went to a good home.. so now I can go home and try very hard NOT to fill up those clean empty spaces!.. and clutter can cause stress.. and I don't want to go there! Go ahead.. have a good cleanout.. there are people just waiting for your recycle crafts! |
