Other Shopping ideas for your arts and crafts !!

Going shopping for craft supplies can get expensive. If you are trying to get a craft business started, then you are going to need to stock your studio or craft room with good quality supplies that don't break the bank.

One of the best ways to find craft supplies, is to first of all make a list of the crafts you plan on making, then come up with a detailed list of the supplies you will need.

This will stop you wandering down the other aisles and getting things you just don't need. As a crafter, I know this can be hard as browsing in a craft store is like buying candy!

I personally find online a great place to get good prices and quality items. I can shop from home, and most online stores will offer free shipping or very low cost shipping.

It all depends on what type of craft supplies you are looking for. But one of my favorite places online is AMAZON. I actually get my canvas from them. If you punch in craft supplies in the search box, you will be amazed at what shows up, and the prices work well!

Have fun, browse, get inspired!

Another alternative that can work well too, is to head to the local thrift shops. Many times there will be boxes of assorted crafts and supplies that someone has dropped off. I have found many good pattern books this way.

Or let your friends know the types of products you are looking for and see if they have any collecting dust in their basement. You can get good deals, you may have to buy in bulk or really check out those thrift stores and also garage sales work well too. You could walk away with a box of assorted craft supplies for a few dollars. Even if you have to sort through them and get rid of any, this will be a great deal.
