Special Stuffy.... from vintage fabrics

Make a special stuffy from vintage or antique fabrics..

You know what looks really cool??.. is if you can search around and find some of that old chenile type bedspreads that you saw a lot of in the 60's, and make stuffed animals out of them!

They are really soft, and have a cool texture to them that makes them very "retro".. especially when you are making them out of the pinks, lime greens, and oranges of "yesterday"..

Make sure the speciall stuffy pattern is a very simple one, if you are using textured fabrics, you don't want to much intricate things going on, you want the fabric to shine thru, and this looks really neat.

You could make them for someone special, or to sell at your craft shows, and label them with the approx. date of the fabric and what type it is.. so this is a good excuse to check the attic, check grannies house, or check the local flea markets and antique shops, even re-use centers have fabrics from basement cleanouts, just make sure to wash it well first, it has to be able to hold up to some abuse!.. make sure its very clean and then pick the best parts and make your special stuffy!
