Studio Tours

Studio Tours... this is another great way to sell your arts and crafts.. If you have a house with a studio, or special room in your house that is easy to let people into.. or maybe you are above the garage, or out on a farm...

It is worth checking with your local arts and crafts societies, about upcoming Studio Tours, and how you can become a part of it!.. They are especially popular in the Fall when the weather is a bit cooler and the colours are awesome!..

The potential customer is given a map of the participating studios and you have to make sure you have lots of product, refreshments, and have your work well displayed and friendly to a potential customer..

If you do not have this kind of space.. maybe you are in an apartment or rental.. then still check out your local crafts council, maybe you could display your work with someone else at their studio for a percentage of your sales?.. Try to find someone who makes totally different crafts from you, so as to be complimentary to each other... not competing.. and HAVE FUN.. you get a lot of out of towners for tours like this, especially if you live in a small town, this could be quite profitable..

Go online and see if you can find a local arts or crafts council, and get more information.
