Sweat the small stuff!... especially at crafters mall and marketplaces..!

Sweat the small stuff!...This will sound awful and mean, and I mean no disrespect for craft mall and crafter marketplace owners.. but we vendors DO have to sweat the small stuff!

If you create teenie tiny little things, then I would strongly recommend that you do not put them in places where you will not be monitoring them. I would save them for craft shows, fairs, etc.. where you will be right there with them..

I used to make some tiny creations (brooches, pins etc) and place them in baskets in these crafters marketplaces and similar places where you rent space.. and they kept taking a "walk".. I kept losing the small things to theft.. as when I went to restock, there would be a fair bit missing, and it did not show on my inventory list from sales..

Its terrible to have to think this way, and maybe in a wierd twisted way, you should feel complimented that they liked YOUR stuff, but I can't afford that and neither can you. Theft is not foolproof, there is no surefire way to stop it, and the store owners do their best... but to make life easier on the pocketbook, I do sweat the small stuff, and save it for my craft shows, and gifts.. and keep the larger items for these rented spaces.. things that are a little more difficult to try and hide under a sweater! or in a pocket!...
