Create a cute litte toad home!... for our fellow garden creatures!

Creating a cute little toad home, is fun, cute, and is a great service to our fellow garden creatures!

Take a medium sized terra cotta pot, and turn it over to be upside down.. then take a pencil, and mark a "mouse hole" as I would call it, at least a 1/2 circle or 1/2 moon shape.. then if you are handy, get a dremel tool, and carefully grind this shape out of the terra cotta pot... a toad home entrance!

If you are very careful, and patient, you can do this without breaking the pot.. once you have created the opening, then you can decorate the pot... maybe paint some toads on the outside?.. You don't have to be great at drawing, but just do the best you can, even an abstract toad is good!... Use your creativity, I like to paint toads on a toad house, so that people know what its for!.. Then place it in the garden, and it gives the toads a nice cool damp place to hang out in your garden!.. Make sure the opening is kept clear and go ahead and plant your plants and flowers around it..

Its a cute addition to the garden, and a nice place for a toad to hang out on a hot day!... these work especially well in a shady part of your garden.. you now have some garden art and a nice home for our fellow garden critters!..
