Old is new again, and that is true of vintage patterns.

Many people are using these old traditional knitting, crochet, and other craft patterns, and re-creating them for today.

But finding these older vintage patterns can be difficult, without many hours of searching, or attending estate sales, or having to buy the entire book for one pattern that you want.

I have found some great patterns, that are from 1909, the wording may seem a little different (different times!) but the pattern is a good one. I have found many of these patterns in the "Public Domain", which is where magazines, books, even craft books end up, if the copywrite has not been renewed. You can take these patterns, pictures, articles, books and more, and use them however you wish.

If you have a website, you can break up books into page content or articles, and if you sell at craft shows, you can have hours of fun checking out the older patterns and crafts from a different era. If you wish to save some research and find the sites for the public domain books, then check this site out. I have his ebooks, and they are what got me started on the treasure hunt.

Below are some links to some great free patterns, I have found through the Public Domain. You can use them, copy them, make them, or re-create them.. whatever you wish. Get your creativity going and have some fun crafting!
